Strathmore Care Group

Strathmore Care recently received the National Highly Commended Small/Medium Sized Company Award from learndirect.  We were awarded the prestigious prize for investing in the skills of more than 40 staff, who have undertaken training with learndirect. Strathmore Care has been working with UKE Learning and learndirect for more than 3 years. It emphasises high standards of care and expects good performance from staff. It has recently put its sixth group of learners through Skills for Life qualifications and NVQs in Health and Social Care. Shift patterns are adjusted to help learners benefit from learning opportunities and comfortable surroundings are offered for those training onsite.

Rosemary Patchai picked up the award with support from Jane Northwood and had the following to say:

"People come to realise their capabilities and come out of their shell when they are learning. Learndirect has helped our staff to realise what they can do, and has improved their confidence."
